Tire and wheel recalls for the Toyota Tacoma
NHTSA lists 1 recall on tires or wheels for the Toyota Tacoma from 2015-2027. Open recalls are repaired free by the dealer; check your vehicle by VIN.
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2015 Tacoma pickup trucks manufactured August 7, 2014, to December 22, 2014. The affected vehicles may have had their tires and wheels changed to TRD PRO accessory tires and wheels, causing the inflation information on the tire placard to be incorrect which may result in the tire being improperly inflated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims and Motor Home/Recreation Vehicle Trailer Load Carrying Capacity Information for Motor Vehicles with a GVWR of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or less."
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will send a revised tire placard with correct tire size and inflation information to owners, free of charge. The recall began March 13, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.

Questions
Does the Toyota Tacoma have any tire or wheel recalls?
NHTSA lists 1 tire or wheel recall for the Toyota Tacoma between 2015-2027: 15V099000 (2015). Check your own vehicle by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls; open recalls are repaired free by the dealer.
What wheel and tire size does the Toyota Tacoma take?
It depends on the year and trim. The factory size is on the sticker inside the driver's door jamb; the number after the R is the wheel diameter. For a bigger wheel, keep the new tire within about 3% of that height so the speedometer stays accurate: the tire size calculator lists the sizes for any wheel diameter.
Can I put 20-inch wheels on my Tacoma?
Most Toyota Tacoma trucks can run 20s with a tire of the same overall height. Match the bolt pattern and center bore, keep the outer edge within about half an inch of your current wheel on stock suspension, and check the load rating. The guide "Will 20-inch wheels fit my truck?" walks through each check.
